Last week, I went on placement at Egmont in West Kensington. They threw me straight in working on covers, illustrations, making text alterations, playing with layout etc. Egmont work on titles such as Winnie the Pooh, World of Happy and many picture book titles as well as fiction and early reading books.
I had a great time with the team. The experience was invaluable. I was really impressed at how much resposibility they gave me. It was great to be busy and feel like I was a valuable member of the team, especially as I was only there for a short period of time.
So, thank you to everyone there. Hopefully I'll be able to go back and help again sometime.
